What is it?
As well as filling lines, fillers can also be used to add fullness to lips to enhance a smile or create a subtle pout. They can also be used on the cheeks to add definition and softness to the cheekbones. Modern fillers such as Juvéderm® ULTRA are soft, safe and non-permanent, lasting for around nine to twelve months.
Lip enhancement is the most common form of treatment to remove lines around the mouth, so-called smokers' lines, as well as create fuller lips for a more sensuous smile. At Skin Revive we want to give you the best natural-looking results as safely as possible.
How long does it take?
The treatment itself takes up to half an hour (the injection process itself is 15-20 minutes). You will see the benefit immediately. The results can last around 6-9 months and up to a year depending on the individual. With repeated treatments over time, the benefit of fillers builds up so that the effects last longer and deliver greater benefits.
How much does it cost?

What is the treatment like?
After your consultation and assessment with our doctor you can proceed to have the lip enhancement treatment. If you want, it can be done that day. We normally use anaesthetic to numb the lips, and the lip treatment only takes10 minutes. After the treatment your lips will be slightly swollen for some. Most patients are fine to resume their work immediately following after the treatment
The basics of hyaluronic acid fillers
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring complex sugar molecule that forms large matrices in the connective tissue of the body, such as skin and cartilage. Much like a sponge, its primary function is to bind and absorb water molecules, which creates volume in the face. Hyaluronic acid fillers are generally used to treat facial wrinkles and folds and to enhance the appearance of the lips. One of the fastest growing dermal filler treatments available, hyaluronic acid fillers work by replacing the hyaluronic acid in the body that has depleted over time, which restores the volume beneath the skin’s surface.
Types of hyaluronic acid fillers
While there are a variety of hyaluronic acid fillers, some of the most common are Restylane®, and Juvederm®. Restylane®, marketed by Medicis, and Juvederm®, marketed by Allergan, are both non-animal derived forms of hyaluronic acid produced in the laboratory. Hyaluronic acid fillers are generally biocompatible, which means allergy skin testing is not required prior to treatment.
How is the recovery?
Occasionally initial swelling may last longer for up to a week and they may look somewhat uneven. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be looked upon as the final result. It is very important to massage the treated areas for up to seven days afterwards to ensure an even appearance.
Hyaluronic acid injection results
The body will eventually metabolize and absorb the injected hyaluronic acid over time. Therefore, while the effects are immediate, hyaluronic acid injections do not provide the same long-lasting results that may be gained from cosmetic surgery. Although the longevity of results varies by patient, results from hyaluronic acid injections are typically maintained for six.
